Sam Greenblatt
Dr. Sam Greenblatt is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has specialized in the treatment of OCD his entire career. As a person with OCD himself, Sam understands deeply the struggle of dealing with intrusive thoughts and the intense distress that can come with it. Sam uses his intimate understanding of OCD paired with his expert knowledge of research and treatment of the disorder to provide the best possible care for his patients.
Sam specializes in the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (including ERP and ACT) for OCD and relishes working with all themes and challenges, including OCD that has not responded to previous treatment. He is particularly interested in using a more recently enhanced model of ERP (which you can read about here). In addition to serving the OCD community, Sam has a special interest in working with people in queer communities.

Serena Bonomo
Serena Bonomo is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology PhD student at Long Island University (LIU) Brooklyn. A native New Yorker, Serena graduated from New York University (NYU) with both her Bachelor’s and Master of Arts in Psychology with a particular emphasis on clinical neuroscience. Prior to and during her doctoral work, Serena researches topics focusing on trauma and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as well as their impact on shame and substance use. As a therapist, she has an array of experience providing individual and group psychotherapy, serving a diverse community. Serena has worked with patients/clients experiencing difficult symptoms stemming from OCD, in addition to various other diagnoses. Serena prioritizes a comfortable setting for clients to explore and confront challenging areas of their mental health and overall functioning while encouraging self-compassion, curiosity, humor, and stepping out of one’s comfort zone with her guided support at the background of all interventions. Serena is trained and supervised by Dr. Greenblatt and operates under his licensure.

Mehrnaz Mirhosseini
Do you have constant thoughts that you can’t seem to get rid of? Thoughts that seem real, and carry a weight of anxiety, uncertainty, discomfort, or even shame?
Mehrnaz Mirhosseini, M.S., is a doctoral candidate at Long Island University Post. She is trained in CBT and ERP and utilizes a range of techniques to treat clients from a range of backgrounds with different types of OCD. She believes in working with clients to figure out how to best apply the treatment specifically to them. Mehrnaz believes in jumping in the water with her clients, instead of coaching from the sidelines to help them achieve their goals. She is trained and supervised by Dr. Greenblatt and operates under his licensure.

My areas of focus include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT and Exposure and Response Prevention for anxiety disorders and OCD.
